Cajun Shrimp with Creamy Potato Purée
Ingredients:
Shrimp

1.5 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined

Salt & pepper, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika

½ lemon

Olive oil
Zesty Cream Sauce

2–3 tbsp butter
-
1–2 shallots, finely chopped
-
4–6 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 jalapeño or serrano chili (optional for spice)
-
¼ cup heavy cream (adjust to taste)
-
Zest of 1 lime
-
½ cup Its Actually Cattle Craft beef broth (or Golden Hen)
Potato Purée
-
2 large Yukon gold potatoes
-
2–3 tbsp butter
-
Mascarpone cheese (adjust to taste)
-
2-4 cloves garlic, minced
-
Heavy cream (start with ¼ cup, adjust for consistency)
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Optional: Truffle shavings for garnish
Instructions:

Boil and peel the potatoes.

Blend with butter, mascarpone, garlic, and heavy cream until silky smooth. Season to taste.

Season shrimp with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Cajun seasoning. Squeeze over lemon juice.

Sauté shrimp on medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side.

Deglaze pan with Cattle Craft broth, then add butter, shallots, garlic, and chili. Cook until fragrant.

Stir in heavy cream and lime zest until you get a luscious sauce.

To serve, spoon potato purée onto a plate, drizzle over the zesty sauce, and top with the Cajun shrimp.

For garnish, top with lime zest and scallions.
